Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Artificial Rock by Zhan Wang was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. The price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 74,507.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhan Wang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Artificial Rock No. 131 in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 6,380,000.00 (€ 630,365.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Artificial Rock von Zhan Wang kam im September 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 74.507,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhan Wang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Artificial Rock No. 131 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.380.000,00 (€ 630.365,14).
