Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Mississippi Night Lights (Minneapolis) by Yvonne Jacquette was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,244.21). Admittedly, works by Yvonne Jacquette have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 29Th Street Night View in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,266.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Mississippi Night Lights (Minneapolis) von Yvonne Jacquette im Mai 2006 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.244,21) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yvonne Jacquette auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 29Th Street Night View im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.266,90).
