Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Northwest View from the Empire State Building by Yvonne Jacquette was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 768.00 (€ 708.55). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yvonne Jacquette achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 29Th Street Night View in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,266.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Northwest View from the Empire State Building von Yvonne Jacquette im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 768,00 (€ 708,55) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yvonne Jacquette erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 29Th Street Night View im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.266,90).
