Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paper Drop (Green) Ii by Wolfgang Tillmans was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 137,500.00 (€ 117,823.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wolfgang Tillmans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Freischwimmer #84 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 605,000.00 (€ 688,982.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Paper Drop (Green) Ii von Wolfgang Tillmans kam im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 117.823,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wolfgang Tillmans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Freischwimmer #84 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 605.000,00 (€ 688.982,12).
