Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William H. Bailey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silent Plain in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,903.95).

Die Arbeit Borghetto I von William H. Bailey kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.147,50 (€ 1.056,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William H. Bailey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Silent Plain im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.903,95).
