In May 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Room by the Sea by William H. Bailey. The »bidding war« ended at USD 55,000.00 (€ 49,331.78), 38% above the upper estimate. Other works by William H. Bailey have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,903.95) in May 2015 for the work Silent Plain.

Im Mai 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Room by the Sea von William H. Bailey zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 49.331,78) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von William H. Bailey haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.903,95) im Mai 2015 für die Arbeit Silent Plain beobachtet.
