Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life - Niccone by William H. Bailey was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,624.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by William H. Bailey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Silent Plain in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,903.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life - Niccone von William H. Bailey kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.624,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William H. Bailey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Silent Plain im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.903,95).
