In May 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Heaven by Wang Qingsong. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,449.98) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Qingsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Follow Me in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Heaven von Wang Qingsong zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.449,98) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Qingsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Follow Me im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 550.449,00).
