Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wang Qingsong could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Old And New Soldiers changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,668.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Qingsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Follow Me in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Qingsong konnte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Old And New Soldiers für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.668,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Qingsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Follow Me im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 550.449,00).
