Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Competition by Wang Qingsong was auctioned at Christies in New York in July last year. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 12,350.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Qingsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Follow Me in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Competition von Wang Qingsong kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 12.350,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Qingsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Follow Me im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 550.449,00).
