Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Romantique by Wang Qingsong for USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,202.39). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Qingsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Follow Me in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Romantique von Wang Qingsong für USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.202,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Qingsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Follow Me im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 550.449,00).
