Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dormitory by Wang Qingsong was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September 2017. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,163.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Qingsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Follow Me in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dormitory von Wang Qingsong wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.163,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Qingsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Follow Me im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 550.449,00).
