Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Losing You More by Tomokazu Matsuyama was worth GBP 214,200.00 (€ 253,958.21) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tomokazu Matsuyama - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Something Came Together, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 609,372.69).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Losing You More von Tomokazu Matsuyama war einem Käufer im März letzten Jahres GBP 214.200,00 (€ 253.958,21) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Tomokazu Matsuyama mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Something Came Together beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 5.040.000,00 (€ 609.372,69) versteigert wurde.
