The work Mr. Autumn Number Nine by Tomokazu Matsuyama was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. It achieved a price of HKD 756,000.00 (€ 90,614.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Admittedly, works by Tomokazu Matsuyama have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Something Came Together in April last year with an auction result of HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 609,372.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mr. Autumn Number Nine von Tomokazu Matsuyama kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 756.000,00 (€ 90.614,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tomokazu Matsuyama auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Something Came Together im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.040.000,00 (€ 609.372,69).
