Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year China Guardian held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Jaded Sunshine(Executed in 2019) by Tomokazu Matsuyama. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 3,075.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tomokazu Matsuyama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Something Came Together in April last year with an auction result of HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 609,372.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jaded Sunshine(Executed in 2019) von Tomokazu Matsuyama zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 3.075,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tomokazu Matsuyama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Something Came Together im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.040.000,00 (€ 609.372,69).
