Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tomokazu Matsuyama achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. In the Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong auction, the work New Dawn Addiction sold for HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 125,777.69) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tomokazu Matsuyama have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Something Came Together in April last year with an auction result of HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 609,372.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tomokazu Matsuyama erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong wurde die Arbeit New Dawn Addiction für HKD 1.008.000,00 (€ 125.777,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tomokazu Matsuyama auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Something Came Together im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.040.000,00 (€ 609.372,69).
