Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tomokazu Matsuyama achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in December last year. In the New Now auction, the work without title sold for GBP 113,400.00 (€ 128,017.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tomokazu Matsuyama have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Something Came Together in April last year with an auction result of HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 609,372.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tomokazu Matsuyama erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 113.400,00 (€ 128.017,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tomokazu Matsuyama auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Something Came Together im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.040.000,00 (€ 609.372,69).
