Auction result well in line with expectations
The work „Small Utopia“. by Tomas Schmit was sold in the Herbstauktionen 247-254 - Third Floor auction at Grisebach in November 2015. It changed hands for a price of EUR 750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tomas Schmit - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zweites Quattroptychon, which sold at auction in December 2020 for EUR 1,934.00.

Die Arbeit „Small Utopia“. von Tomas Schmit wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Herbstauktionen 247-254 - Third Floor bei Grisebach versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 600,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tomas Schmit mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zweites Quattroptychon beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für EUR 1.934,00 versteigert wurde.
