Both incised with signature, date and numbered 'AP 1/3' , 'A' and 'B' respectively (artist's proofs the edition was 9).

This artwork by Tom Otterness achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in July 2020. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work The Rich Visionaries pair (A and B) sold for USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,479.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Otterness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Large Bear in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,335,776.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tom Otterness erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit The Rich Visionaries pair (A and B) für USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.479,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Otterness erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Large Bear im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.512.500,00 (€ 1.335.776,74).
