Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Covered Wagon by Tom Otterness was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in New York in March 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,669.42). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Otterness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Large Bear in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,335,776.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Covered Wagon von Tom Otterness wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.669,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Otterness erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Large Bear im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.512.500,00 (€ 1.335.776,74).
