The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,132.71), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom of Finland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled [Twelve Works|AID701324] in May last year with an auction result of USD 289,800.00 (€ 270,058.71).

Die Arbeit No Swimming von Tom of Finland wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion The Collection of Douglas S. Cramer bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.132,71) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom of Finland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled [Twelve Works|AID701324] im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 289.800,00 (€ 270.058,71).
