Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sans titre (homme assis) by Tom of Finland was auctioned at Bonhams in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 28,160.00. Admittedly, works by Tom of Finland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled [Twelve Works|AID701324] in May last year with an auction result of USD 289,800.00 (€ 270,058.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sans titre (homme assis) von Tom of Finland kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 28.160,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom of Finland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled [Twelve Works|AID701324] im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 289.800,00 (€ 270.058,71).
