In May last year Phillips in an online auction held the auction Wired: Online Auction, which included this untitled work by Tom of Finland. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,634.76), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom of Finland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled [Twelve Works|AID701324] in May last year with an auction result of USD 289,800.00 (€ 270,058.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Wired: Online Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tom of Finland zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.634,76) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom of Finland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled [Twelve Works|AID701324] im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 289.800,00 (€ 270.058,71).
