Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nine plates, from: The Submersion of Pharaoh's Army in the Red Sea by Tiziano Vecellio was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2015. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,866.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tiziano Vecellio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Sacra Conversazione: The Madonna And Child With Saints Luke And Catherine Of Alexandria in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 16,882,500.00 (€ 12,309,515.13).
