Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Double Portrait Of Guidobaldo Ii Della Rovere, Duke Of Urbino (1514-1574), And His Son, Francesco Maria Ii (1549-1631), Full-Length by Tiziano Vecellio for USD 612,500.00 (€ 507,288.39). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Part I at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tiziano Vecellio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Sacra Conversazione: The Madonna And Child With Saints Luke And Catherine Of Alexandria in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 16,882,500.00 (€ 12,309,515.13).
