Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Portrait Of A Venetian Admiral, Possibly Francesco Duodo by Tiziano Vecellio. The price achieved of GBP 1,149,000.00 (€ 1,293,031.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tiziano Vecellio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Sacra Conversazione: The Madonna And Child With Saints Luke And Catherine Of Alexandria in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 16,882,500.00 (€ 12,309,515.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Venetian Admiral, Possibly Francesco Duodo von Tiziano Vecellio zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.149.000,00 (€ 1.293.031,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tiziano Vecellio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Sacra Conversazione: The Madonna And Child With Saints Luke And Catherine Of Alexandria im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.882.500,00 (€ 12.309.515,13).
