The price achieved of USD 1,762,500.00 (€ 1,376,522.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tiziano Vecellio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Sacra Conversazione: The Madonna And Child With Saints Luke And Catherine Of Alexandria in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 16,882,500.00 (€ 12,309,515.13).
