Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work The Penitent Magdalen by Tiziano Vecellio. The price achieved of GBP 704,750.00 (€ 790,179.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tiziano Vecellio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Sacra Conversazione: The Madonna And Child With Saints Luke And Catherine Of Alexandria in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 16,882,500.00 (€ 12,309,515.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Penitent Magdalen von Tiziano Vecellio zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 704.750,00 (€ 790.179,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tiziano Vecellio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Sacra Conversazione: The Madonna And Child With Saints Luke And Catherine Of Alexandria im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.882.500,00 (€ 12.309.515,13).
