Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Marilyn And Mao) by Shi Xinning was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2013. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 38,497.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shi Xinning have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mao And Mccarthy in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 372,000.00 (€ 278,151.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Marilyn And Mao) von Shi Xinning kam im Mai 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 38.497,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shi Xinning auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mao And Mccarthy im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 372.000,00 (€ 278.151,64).
