In October 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Hollywood by Shi Xinning. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,910.48), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shi Xinning achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mao And Mccarthy in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 372,000.00 (€ 278,151.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hollywood von Shi Xinning zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.910,48) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shi Xinning erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mao And Mccarthy im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 372.000,00 (€ 278.151,64).
