Auction result well in line with expectations

In June 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Der Blaue Reiter (Special Pink Edition) by Sebastian Black. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,086.07) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sebastian Black - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chess Sickness, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,287.61).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Der Blaue Reiter (Special Pink Edition) von Sebastian Black zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.086,07) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sebastian Black mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chess Sickness beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.287,61) versteigert wurde.
