Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Tall Man) by Saint Clair Cemin for USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,227.35). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Saint Clair Cemin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Large Table) in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 95,600.00 (€ 72,101.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Tall Man) von Saint Clair Cemin für USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.227,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Saint Clair Cemin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Large Table) im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.600,00 (€ 72.101,97).
