Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work How To Screw In A Light Bubble by Saint Clair Cemin. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,039.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Saint Clair Cemin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Large Table) in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 95,600.00 (€ 72,101.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit How To Screw In A Light Bubble von Saint Clair Cemin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.039,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Saint Clair Cemin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Large Table) im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.600,00 (€ 72.101,97).
