Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Rudolf Stingel. The price achieved of USD 567,000.00 (€ 528,375.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Stingel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (After Sam) in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 10,551,500.00 (€ 9,390,797.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rudolf Stingel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 567.000,00 (€ 528.375,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Stingel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (After Sam) im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.551.500,00 (€ 9.390.797,44).
