A top price for Rudolf Stingel - as previously expected
The work Untitled (After Sam) by Rudolf Stingel was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000,000.00 – 15,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,551,500.00 (€ 9,390,797.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (After Sam) is the most expensive artwork by Rudolf Stingel that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Untitled (After Sam) von Rudolf Stingel kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000.000,00 – 15.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.551.500,00 (€ 9.390.797,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
