A top price for Romero Britto - as previously expected
In May 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work American Dream by Romero Britto. The price achieved of USD 250,000.00 (€ 227,396.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, American Dream is the most expensive artwork by Romero Britto that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit American Dream von Romero Britto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 227.396,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist American Dream das teuerste Kunstwerk von Romero Britto, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
