Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New Life by Romero Britto was sold in the Sale Benefiting to Ecoles de l'Espoir auction at Artcurial in Paris in November 2008. The price achieved of EUR 5,400.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romero Britto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work American Dream in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 227,396.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New Life von Romero Britto wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Sale Benefiting to Ecoles de l'Espoir bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.400,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romero Britto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit American Dream im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 227.396,76).
