Auction result well in line with expectations
The work For the Love of Soccer by Romero Britto was sold in the AFRICA Theme Sale auction at Phillips in New York in May 2010. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,211.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romero Britto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work American Dream in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 227,396.76).
