Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paradoxical Western Scene by Rodney Graham was sold in the 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,048.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rodney Graham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Inverted Drip Painting #47, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,153.72).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.048,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00.
