Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Untitled (Menos Petróleo Más Valor / 12 De Enero De 2011) by Rirkrit Tiravanija. It changed hands for a price of USD 68,750.00 (€ 58,911.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Other works by Rirkrit Tiravanija have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2021 the work Untitled (THE DAYS OF THIS SOCIETY IS NUMBERED) was auctioned for USD 98,280.00 (€ 83,692.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Menos Petróleo Más Valor / 12 De Enero De 2011) von Rirkrit Tiravanija zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 58.911,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Rirkrit Tiravanija konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2021 die Arbeit Untitled (THE DAYS OF THIS SOCIETY IS NUMBERED) für USD 98.280,00 (€ 83.692,41) versteigert.
