Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (The Revolution Will Come In Every Direction) by Rirkrit Tiravanija was sold in the Contemporary Art Online auction at Sothebys in London in May 2021. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,660.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rirkrit Tiravanija have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (THE DAYS OF THIS SOCIETY IS NUMBERED) in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 98,280.00 (€ 83,692.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (The Revolution Will Come In Every Direction) von Rirkrit Tiravanija wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.660,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rirkrit Tiravanija auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (THE DAYS OF THIS SOCIETY IS NUMBERED) im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 98.280,00 (€ 83.692,41).
