Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Within the Room by Richard Pousette-Dart. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 32,955.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pousette-Dart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blood Wedding in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,489,111.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Within the Room von Richard Pousette-Dart zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 32.955,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Pousette-Dart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blood Wedding im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000,00 (€ 2.489.111,91).
