Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Petites Antilopes goudou 'deux amis' by Rembrandt Bugatti was auctioned at Christies in London in June last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 75,600.00 (€ 87,825.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rembrandt Bugatti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Babouin Sacré Hamadryas in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,770,000.00 (€ 2,519,556.12).
