In June this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Alain Delon 60 Years of Passion, which included the work Lionne couchée baillant by Rembrandt Bugatti. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 533,800.00 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Rembrandt Bugatti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Babouin Sacré Hamadryas in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,770,000.00 (€ 2,519,556.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Alain Delon 60 Years of Passion durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lionne couchée baillant von Rembrandt Bugatti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 533.800,00 und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rembrandt Bugatti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Babouin Sacré Hamadryas im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.770.000,00 (€ 2.519.556,12).
