A top price for Rembrandt Bugatti - as previously expected
In May 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Babouin Sacré Hamadryas by Rembrandt Bugatti. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,770,000.00 (€ 2,519,556.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Babouin Sacré Hamadryas is the most expensive artwork by Rembrandt Bugatti that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Babouin Sacré Hamadryas von Rembrandt Bugatti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.770.000,00 (€ 2.519.556,12) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Babouin Sacré Hamadryas das teuerste Kunstwerk von Rembrandt Bugatti, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
