Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work The Nude by Rebecca Warren. Here, the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 214,200.00 (€ 199,608.61). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rebecca Warren - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fascia Iii, which sold at auction in March 2019 for GBP 555,000.00 (€ 644,171.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Nude von Rebecca Warren zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 214.200,00 (€ 199.608,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rebecca Warren mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fascia Iii beobachtet, die im März 2019 für GBP 555.000,00 (€ 644.171,71) versteigert wurde.
