Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Let Your Freak Flag Fly by Polly Apfelbaum was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2019. The price achieved of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,336.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Polly Apfelbaum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rubbing Colours in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,230.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Let Your Freak Flag Fly von Polly Apfelbaum kam im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.336,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Polly Apfelbaum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rubbing Colours im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.230,17).
