Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Philip Pearlstein could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Model with Electric Fan and Oceanic Head Carving (2 states) changed hands for USD 953.00 (€ 901.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Pearlstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Model With Empire State Building in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 170,500.00 (€ 130,791.65).
