Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Peter Young was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 200.00 – 300.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 125.00 (€ 110.31). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #9 in July 2013 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,940.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Peter Young im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 125,00 (€ 110,31) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Young erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #9 im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.940,22).
