This artwork by Peter Young achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2017. In the The Collection of Paul F. Walter auction, the work Teutonic Myth and Legend sold for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,444.26) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Young - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #9, which sold at auction in July 2013 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,940.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Young erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Paul F. Walter wurde die Arbeit Teutonic Myth and Legend für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.444,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Young mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled #9 beobachtet, die im Juli 2013 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.940,22) versteigert wurde.
